Fix Messy QuickBooks Books

Fix Messy QuickBooks Books Terms

What these pages are, what a first conversation is, and when paid work actually starts. Effective 7 October 2026.

Who these terms are with

Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using the site means you accept this page. The limits of the work are written on the Disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.

What the pages are

The words here are general information for an owner. They are not advice about your own numbers. Reading them does not make you a client. Rules change, and they land differently on different facts, so check anything that would change a return before you act on it.

A first conversation is only a conversation

Booking a time creates no engagement and no ongoing duty on either side. We will say what we see in the shape of the file and whether an engagement makes sense, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet.

Paid work starts only after a written note names the months and the price and both sides have signed it. The conversation itself hires nothing.

Scope and price

The note names the scope before anyone starts. Work outside that note is priced on its own before it is done. Either side may end the engagement in writing. You still owe what was earned to that date, and your records come back to you.

The price depends on how many months have no last day and whether setup of the payday service is in the same note. A typical fee is left off this page so your file is not treated as the next owner's.

What we need from you

The sort is only as good as the records under it. You are responsible for complete records, for what your own systems already say, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when a line does not tie. We will not build a monthly read on a month that still has no last day.

The site itself

The words, the layout, and the pictures belong to the practice that publishes them. You may read them, print them, and quote them with a credit. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.

The site is offered as it stands. We work to keep it accurate and available. We do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not let us limit.

Which law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
